Yves Hsieh
Yves Hsieh graduated from the School of Biological Sciences, University of Auckland, New Zealand. His final year project was supervised by Professor Philip Harris and involved the structural analysis of xyloglucans. In 2009 Yves undertook his Ph.D. at the School of Chemistry, the University of Sydney, under the supervision of Professor Richard Payne. His Ph.D. research entailed the chemical synthesis and structural evaluation of glycopeptides and glycoproteins. Yves completed his Ph.D. in November 2013 and moved to the University of Adelaide under the guidance of Prof. Geoff Fincher. Here, he is involved in the structural and mechanistic studies of carbohydrate-processing enzymes. In February 2016, he moved to KTH, Sweden, where he is currently an Associate Professor in Carbohydrate Engineering within the Department of Chemistry, School of Engineering Sciences in Chemistry, Biotechnology and Health.
